Each of these can be quite dangerous in how they affect their victim. Snakes are scaly, legless reptiles that slither across the ground and constantly taste the air by flicking out their forked tongues. NUISANCE CONCERNS: The primary concern involves large colonies. Snakes live in a wide variety of habitats. Sometimes they'll sunbathe to raise temperature. To eliminate potential food sources, take steps to control rodent and insect populations, such as maintaining clean living spaces and storing food in rodent-proof containers. Cottonmouth snakes will eat virtually anything that they can fit into their mouth, but will kill any animal that they see as a threat. In areas with high native snake populations, snake-proof fences may be erected to keep the slithery pests away from children in play areas, though enclosing entire yards with snake-proof fencing often proves prohibitively expensive.

They mate in October, before winter hibernation, and after a delayed fertilization and a 60 day gestation, give birth to one or two baby bats in early June. Characteristics of the nonvenomous snake are narrow head, no pit between eye and nostril and round pupils. Snakes are cold-blooded animals, which is why they sun in the warmer months and go into hibernation during the colder. One way that can be used in removing a raccoon nest is to place a radio that has been set to a talk radio station in the surrounding area of their nest. Snakes like something to hide in like wood piles, piles of debris, high grass and overgrown vegetation. If the raccoons lack food they will relocate to a place where they can find food and water. A large colony is not only noisy and unsettling at dusk and dawn as swarms of bats fly in and out, but the main problem is that they leave their droppings and urine behind. If a bat is weak, sick looking and found during the day there is a good likelihood it could be carrying rabies.

They then fly back out to feed some more. Snakes inhabit many ecological niches, and often around human buildings. If you require a larger snake management program, with habitat modification, setting and monitoring of snake traps, many service visits over a span if time, etc, then the cost can be quite a bit higher. The males roost alone in solitary areas, such as trees. They may make several trips per night. When not in use, the fangs fold back onto the mouth. Many snake usually prefer to hide under heavy cover in cool areas. The poo and pee out of the same hole. Since many people ask me, I have posted some photos of what snake poop looks like.
