Snakes are cold-blooded animals, which is why they sun in the warmer months and go into hibernation during the colder. The reptiles do not attack humans, and non-venomous bites do little more than produce a painful puncture wound. Raccoons invade your yard or home in search of food. They are located in the upper jaw with venom glands connected above. Often it's just a matter of ignorance - people don't know which snakes are venomous and which are not, so they are naturally cautious around all snakes. If it's a colony of bats living in a building, they crawl to the edge, and fly out. Most are very patient when it comes to catching prey - they sit still and silent for a very long time, then when a prey item is in reach, they strike! Blood vessels are destroyed that have carried the toxin, but the toxin still is able to spread.

Snakes also bask in the sunlight on warm days, since, as cold-blooded animals, they rely on external heat sources to regulate their body temperature. With a large colony of bats, this really adds up. They find shelter as well as safety from their predators. They find their food sources in garbage cans or pet food tins. All snakes should be treated with respect and left alone regardless of venom. The virus is found in the saliva of the animal and enters the bloodstream of any living thing it bites. It's my opinion that the Eastern Diamondback is the deadliest, because it's the largest, strongest, and has the most venom. This includes trees, sheds, garages, attics, crawl spaces, porches, patios, decks, walls, roofs, and more. If the raccoons lack food they will relocate to a place where they can find food and water.

What Is Rabies? Rabies is a disease that is caused by the virus Lyssavirus Rabies. They tolerate and even prefer very high temperatures. Snakes eat such animals as frogs, salamanders, insects, worms, small rodents and birds. Venomous snakes have sharp, hollow fangs designed to pierce skin and inject venom. There are even a predator urine which causes a bad odour is also used. Though in very few cases symptoms are seen immediately, in many instances it is not recognizable for even months. These cases usually result in death. The poo and pee out of the same hole. Since many people ask me, I have posted some photos of what snake poop looks like. They mate in October, before winter hibernation, and after a delayed fertilization and a 60 day gestation, give birth to one or two baby bats in early June. It has a wingspan of about 8 inches, a weight of half an ounce, and can live up to 16 years.
